This is the professional personal website for me, Adam Mills. It’s a hybrid if you like which reflects on me too, I’m a ‘creative geek’ according my LinkedIn profile, which is pretty much spot on. I enjoy playing with web stuff, embrace the social media buzz and have far too many secret plans and clever tricks. I also write, edit and manage the Formula 1 webzine I founded – Badger GP, organise and host events for Grand Prix Screenings and have my own business – Le Feuvre Media Ltd, which includes my motorsport activities as well as ‘rightplalava’…
‘rightpalava’ is the name for all the work I do for individuals and small businesses, such as web development, guidance and consultancy for their web presence and using social media effectively. Since 2002 I’ve been playing with the t’interweb and over the last 5 years I’ve explored and become an expert with the WordPress platform for building and managing websites. Social media is something I love too – I believe technology is nothing without people, or pretty dull at least, so social media is my kinda thing – using technology to communicate, whether it be ideas, experiences, promotion or just good ol’ banter – it’s a good thing.
‘rightpalava’ is also where I write blog entries about exciting things I come across – now that can mean exciting in the form of a new tip or trick for managing your website and helpful guides for web developers or it could mean exciting as in a new restaurant I found, band I heard, book I read, fact I’ve come across and enjoyed so much I have to write about it.
Anyone who doesn’t know me personally should be asking, why ‘rightpalava’ – plain a simple – I like it as a name and it’s a great expression too. It could be that for many folk, using the internet and getting to grips with social media can be right palava – in that case, give me a shout.
As of March 2012, the rightpalava.com site has been redeveloped, again and is currently a work in progress, so do bear with me and the current lack of interesting content – it’s not my full time job… yet.
Ta, Adam
